What age groups does STEMix Academy cater to?
We offer structured, progressive learning tracks for children from Age 6 to 18 (Grades 1 through 12), as well as project masterclasses for polytechnic and engineering college students:
- Junior Innovator (Ages 6 - 9): Screen-free mTiny robotics, Scratch visual coding, basic mechanical building blocks.
- Middle Builder (Ages 10 - 13): Makeblock mBot2, block-to-Python transitions, sensor circuits, 3D CAD modeling.
- Senior Engineer (Ages 14 - 18+): Arduino Nano/Uno, ESP32 IoT telemetry, quadcopter aerodynamics, C++, and AI vision models.
Does my child need prior coding or electronics knowledge?
No prior experience is necessary. We design our beginner curricula under the philosophy that every child learns best by doing. Mentors introduce core fundamentals through tactile models, visual gamified puzzles, and physical robot navigation before introducing syntax.
Do parents need to purchase expensive robotics kits?
No. All required hardware kits, microcontrollers, motors, ultrasonic/IR sensors, 3D printing filaments, and computers are provided directly inside our Kovilpatti laboratory during class hours. For students who wish to practice and build custom prototypes at home, we provide optional take-home project kits at subsidized manufacturing prices.
What is the batch size and student-to-mentor ratio?
We maintain a strict limit of 8 to 10 students per batch. This ensures our certified mentors provide individualized attention, assist with circuit debugging, and encourage every student to actively solder, assemble, and program their own individual build.
How does certificate verification work?
Upon course completion, each student is issued an official, tamper-proof STEMix Certificate featuring a unique cryptographic hash and dynamic QR code. Anyone (school principals, college admission officers, or recruiters) can verify authenticity instantly by scanning the QR code or visiting /verify-certificate/{hash}.
Can schools partner with STEMix Academy for on-campus labs?
Yes. We provide turnkey School STEM & Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) solutions, including complete hardware lab equipment, year-long grade-specific curricula mapped to NEP 2020 standards, certified resident trainers, and inter-school competition coaching.
How does the Free Demo Class work?
The Free Demo Class is a 60-minute in-person trial session at our Kovilpatti lab. Your child works 1-on-1 with an instructor, builds a simple robot mechanism or codes their first animation, and takes home a digital certificate. There is zero obligation to enroll.
